Group Leader: Bea Poole

The U3A Choir was formed ten years by Bea Poole, the present Choir Mistress. Originally the Robert Smythe School was used for practices but we now meet in the Evangelical Church on Monday afternoons from 2pm until 3.30pm.  The choir has increased in numbers since the time of its formation and now consists of 30+   members, however we could always do with more gentlemen to swell our ranks particular on the tenor line.  Our main aim is to learn together and improve our singing but it is also rewarding to go out to entertain at such venues as Lutterworth and North Kilworth as well as in Market Harborough itself.  We are now receiving more dates for our diary so it would seem that we are appreciated by our audiences. Our repertoire is varied and we like to try more ambitious pieces to test our abilities. These are always sung in harmony and occasionally unaccompanied.  All in all we are a group of people who enjoy getting together and singing and hopefully at the same time giving pleasure to others.
