Group Leader: Bea Poole
The Handbell Ringing Group came as a spin off from the Choir, and was formed three years ago. Money was provided from U3A funds to purchase a set of our own handbells and twelve dedicated people meet every Monday afternoon after choir practice to try to ring out recognisable tunes, under the leadership of Bea Poole. Handbell Ringing requires the ability to sight read music, as well as a sense of rhythm and timing. We often take the bells with us when we perform our choir concerts and have found that people do appreciate what we play
